Visit of a Nobel Laureate

Nobel Laureate Prof. Martin Chalfie, Columbia University, USA visited our center. He shared the 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the development of green fluorescent protein (GFP).

Indo-Taiwan Joint Research Program in Science and Technology Cooperation Programme

Dr. Ullas Mony, and Prof. Jayakumar R met with Prof. Jyh-Ping Chen and Dr. Howard Chen at Chang Gung University, Taiwan.

The two universities will be jointly working on the development of bioengineered braided multiscale fibrous scaffolds for tendon/ligament reconstruction.

For a period of 3 years Amrita centre for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine and Chang Gung University students and investigators will be visting each other.

This effort is jointly funded by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of Taiwan and Department of Science and Technology (DST) Government of India, Global Innovation and Technology Alliance (GITA)

Indo-Japan Joint Research Program (DST-JSPS joint research project)

Dr. Ullas Mony, and Prof. Jayakumar R met with Prof. Sachiko Iseki at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Tokyo, Japan.

The two universities will be jointly working on the development of cell laden 3-D Molecular mobility hydrogels for directing Mesenchymal stem cell differentiation
